   | | Cicely N. Johnson, LCSW  Cicely N. Johnson, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) holds two degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work from their prestigious mental health program. As a graduate student, Ms. Johnson received extensive training at The University of Michigan Hospitals Department of Psychiatry. She has worked in special education within public and alternative school settings, with an emphasis on children and adolescents with Emotional and Behavioral Disturbances. In special education Ms. Johnson has obtained awards in the areas of diversity training, research, and professional excellence. Ms. Johnson currently maintains clinical social work licensure in the state of Illinois as well as school social work certifications in both Illinois and Michigan.Ms. Johnson currently specializes in her work with adolescents, and adults with school related and adjustment issues. In addition, she has extensive experience in treating mood disorders, eating disorders, job related issues, multicultural concerns, overeating and weight loss issues. Ms. Johnson works eclectically, with an emphasis in cognitive behavioral therapy. In addition to effective intervention, and treatment planning, Ms. Johnson, conducts presentations on mental health to educators, counselors, and other mental health providers. Ms. Johnson also provides clinical supervision and consultation to professionals preparing for the LCSW examination.
